Year 6 STEM Royal Navy Visit

Our Year 6 students had an exciting and educational session with the Royal Navy.

They introduced the children to the wide range of roles within the Navy, explaining how each position is unique and essential -whether on land, at sea, in the air or under the water. The pupils were given the chance to ask thoughtful questions about life in the Navy and the responsibilities involved in different roles.

The session then moved on to a practical activity focused on flares and their importance in naval operations. The children worked collaboratively to design and create their own flares, developing their teamwork and problem-solving skills along the way. To finish, they had the opportunity to launch their flares outside, which was a highlight of the day!
