Year 3 had a wonderful visit to Houghton on the Hill on Wednesday as part of our Geography learning. We explored the village and compared it with Highfields, looking carefully at the similarities and differences between the two places. The children enjoyed locating local amenities, including the school and chemist, as well as spotting some beautiful houses with thatched roofs. A highlight of the trip was our interesting visit to St Catherine’s Church, where the children had the opportunity to look around, observe its features and answer questions about the church. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring our Geography learning to life!
