HALF-TERM READING CHALLENGE!

During the half-term break, children were asked to create a collage inspired by their favourite Book. They could recreate the front cover, a scene from the story or their favourite character. They were asked to use a range of materials, which could have included old magazines, coloured paper, fabric scraps, or any other creative material.

The children, who took part, completed some amazing and imaginative work. I am so proud of all of their hard work, but there could be only 1 winner. The winner was selected by the staff at the Highfields Library, who were not given the names of the children, but merely judged the artwork based on their use of various materials. Well done to our three winners – they will each receive vouchers to spend on books on Amazon. Every child who took part received a lollipop, and all of the artwork will be displayed around the school, close to our reading shop.

We hope to run a new competition during the Easter holidays, so watch this space.
