Elite Sports Hall Athletics Competition

On Thursday, 6th November, 24 enthusiastic children from Year 5 and Year 6 represented our school at the Elite Sports Hall Athletics Competition held at Crownhills Community College.
Throughout the morning, every child took part in a variety of track and field events, showcasing their speed, strength, and determination. We had some fantastic performances from our students, with Yeasin throwing the furthest in the whole tournament for soft javelin, and Umar and Anas BP leaping into the lead for long jump.
Points from each event were combined to create an overall whole-school score, reflecting the incredible effort and commitment of every participant. The atmosphere was electric, with pupils cheering each other on and demonstrating excellent sportsmanship. With the boys securing 2nd place in the morning and the girls in 4th place, we are overjoyed to say that we finished in 2nd place for the morning event. Overall, Uplands came 5th out of 14 teams.
A huge well done to all the children who took part—you represented the school brilliantly and should be proud of your achievements!
