We were excited to welcome Kierun Patel, from the University of Leicester, to our school on Monday morning. Kierun was visiting us to present awards to the two winners of a recent competition the University had held, where local Primary School children were invited to create eye-catching posters about sustainability.
Madina in Year 6 and Khaleel in Year 5, were the winners of their sections, and both children created stunning posters. They were presented with their posters framed and a giant art set each.
The competition was designed to encourage staff and students at the University to be more sustainable in their everyday lives, and Khaleel and Madina’s posters will be put up around the University of Leicester campus helping to encourage this.
